ABLE Racking Group sign partnership with Embello to launch a new safetywear initiative

Embello, one of the UK’s leading branded merchandise, signage and workwear specialists, has partnered with ABLE Racking Group to launch a new warehouse safety initiative aimed at improving visibility, compliance and accountability across logistics environments nationwide.

The partnership has introduced bespoke Racking Safety Trained hi-visibility vests, exclusively issued to individuals who successfully complete ABLE Racking Group’s ROSPA Assured Racking Safety Training. Designed, customised and manufactured by Embello, the vests provide an instantly recognisable way to identify trained and qualified personnel on the warehouse floor.

Warehousing remains one of the UK’s highest risk working environments. According to the Health and Safety Executive, slips, trips, falls and injuries caused by falling objects continue to be among the most common causes of accidents within the sector. Research from the British Safety Industry Federation shows that the correct use of PPE can reduce workplace accidents by up to 30 percent, while visible and trained staff significantly improve the reporting and resolution of safety issues.

By combining accredited training with clear on site identification, Embello and ABLE Racking Group aim to make racking safety a visible, everyday part of warehouse culture rather than a box ticking exercise.

Kyle Raffo, Founder of Embello, said:

“Warehouses are fast paced, high risk environments. These vests are not just workwear. They represent knowledge, responsibility and accountability. When trained individuals are clearly visible, safety becomes proactive rather than reactive.”

The initiative is already being adopted by logistics operators, including SLAM Transport, where the training and visibility have delivered immediate operational benefits.

Paul Roath, National Health and Safety Manager at SLAM Transport, commented:

“The training allows us to carry out regular racking inspections in full compliance with regulations and gives our colleagues real confidence that inspections are being completed to the correct standard. The flexibility of the course made it easy to complete around operational pressures, and I would strongly recommend it to any business operating warehouse racking.”

Stuart Tandy, Managing Director at ABLE Racking Group, added:

“Training is critical, but it needs to be visible to be effective. These vests allow trained staff to be instantly recognised by colleagues and managers, making it far easier to identify risks and resolve issues before incidents occur.”

With more than two million people employed across the UK logistics sector, Embello and ABLE Racking Group believe this initiative sets a new benchmark by combining accredited training with practical, visible safety leadership on the warehouse floor.

The Racking Safety Trained hi visibility vests are now being rolled out nationwide and are exclusively available to individuals who complete ABLE Racking Group’s training course.
